About this tool
Switch Plate Studio designs decorative covers for US light switches and outlets — toggle, rocker, or duplex in any gang count, mixed freely on one plate, with edge profiles, scalloped outlines, two-color borders, relief patterns, and kid-room toppers. Cutouts and screw spacing follow the NEMA standard (46mm gang pitch, 6-32 screws), so the plate fits the wall box every time.
Set your Devices first (type and gang count) — the plate sizes itself, with standard, midway, and jumbo footprints if you need to hide old paint lines. Type a label above or below any switch ("HALL", "PORCH") and pick raised or engraved lettering; labels auto-shrink to clear the screws. Then style the edge — a 2mm chamfer or full bevel reads surprisingly premium next to a flat store plate — and decorate with borders and patterns.
Plates print lying on their backs, so the decorative face finishes as clean top layers — ideal for a single color swap, and the sloped edges print support-free. Reuse the original #6-32 metal screws; the counterbores are sized for them. Edge-profile styling and per-gang labels adapted from the CC0 Outlet Cover Generator (MakerWorld).

Glow tip: pick a Glow swatch (green/blue/aqua) for the border, labels, or name and print it in glow-in-the-dark PLA — the switch is easy to find in a dark room.
Decorative cover — not UL-listed. PETG holds up better near warm dimmers. 3MF imports into Bambu Studio with colors pre-assigned.
