A/B lab: same adapter, two geometry engines — see engine decision criteria (platform plan doc 17).
About this tool
Adapter Studio connects anything round to anything else — shop vac to sander, dryer duct to vent, hose to fitting. Enter two diameters and it generates an adapter, reducer cone, or funnel you cannot buy in a store.
Measure both ends carefully and note inside versus outside diameter — that distinction is the whole job. The Self-Jamming Taper gives each end a slight cone so it wedges tight by friction, the way real vacuum fittings do; Engagement Length sets how much overlap each connection gets — go 25mm or more for vacuum hoses.
Adapters print standing upright with zero supports, and the layer lines run around the circumference — the strongest direction. PETG takes the flexing and warmth of vacuum duty better than PLA.
